As you know, for years, Musicbuds has been at the heart of everything I do – helping educators bring inclusivity and musical joy to young children.
It’s been my baby.
And like any big change, this one comes with a mix of emotions.
But I know it’s the right step.
As our work has grown, it’s become clear that what we offer isn’t just about the power of music – it’s also about embedding diversity, equity, and inclusivity (DEI) across the whole learning experience for young children.
Within education and beyond, child-centred professionals have told me they need support not just in music, but in making every part of their setting an inclusive and welcoming space.
So I’m excited to share that from April 1st 2025, ‘Musicbuds’ is evolving into ‘Diversitybuds’.
This change means:
📚 But we’re also making it clearer that our work supports DEI across the entire EYFS and Primary curriculum and beyond into other young-child focused organisations.
🏫 Organisations looking for whole-setting DEI approaches will know we’re here to help.
💛 And most importantly, we’re staying true to our mission and values – helping all young children to feel seen, heard, and valued in equal measure.

Letting go of ‘Musicbuds’ hasn’t been easy. But I truly believe this shift will allow us to reach more professionals, parents and carers, create more impact, and help build learning spaces where every child belongs.

Dr Clare Seymour
Clare has spent much of her professional career (over 30 years) in international settings. Part of her Doctoral research involved exploring the often hidden aspects of institutional racism. As a result she has a longstanding interest in, and passion for, promoting positive Diversity.
In addition to school music-teaching, Clare also has over 10 years’ experience working as an international music examiner – an understanding and respect for Diversity is so crucially important in every aspect of her practice.
